OCTOBER BUSINESS MEETING

The brethren enjoyed homemade vegetable soup, salad and some really sweet cornbread. There were over thirty brothers present. Brother Secretary has asked for all brothers that move to please send a change of address to the lodge. He continues to get several dues notices and newsletters returned each month. A thank you letter from our Grand Master was read where in he thanked the lodge for our donation to him to help defray his traveling expenses. A discussion was held on the problem with the limbs that had fallen on the Bar-B-Que pit. The owner of the trees gave the lodge permission to cut the limbs and trees if necessary. The building committee will work with the owner and see that the problem is corrected. A thank you note and check from the Bill Shealy family was received for the use of the lodge for their reunions. A thank you note and check from the Brice Wren family was received for the use of the lodge for their reunion. A check was also received in the memory of Jerry Mims’ wife who recently passed away. Brother James Hicklin was presented his Masters Degree Proficiency Certificate and his copy of the Ahiman Rezon. Brother Ronnie Watson was elected as a member transferring from another lodge. The Worshipful Master announced that there would be no Red Book Studies during October, but that they would continue in November. The Worshipful Master also announced that Ladies Night would be held on October the 29th at 7:00. Tickets are $5.00 each and complementary tickets are being sent to all widows.
