We are pleased to informyouthatthe ILO, as part ofitsInternshipProgramme, hasinterestingnewinternshipopportunitiescoming up in a varietyoffields.
TheobjectiveoftheInternshipProgramme is to providetalentedyoungindividualswiththeopportunity to gainpracticalexperience at the ILO. As part ofourteams, workingdirectlywithoutstandingandinspiringcareerprofessionalsand senior management, ILO internscontribute to analyticalwork on theprinciples, programmesandstrategiesoftheOrganization; theyalsoparticipate in importantmeetingsand are exposed to high-profile conferences.
WewouldhighlyappreciateifPermanentMissionscouldcommunicatethefollowinginformation to Universities in their home countrieswhosestudentsmight be interested in thisinternationalandrewardinglearningopportunity. Candidates are invited to consulttheILO’sonlinerecruitment platform at: where 51 differentinternshipprofileshavebeenposted. Applicationsmay be submittedelectronicallyfromthe platform andwillremain open from15 January 2018 to 24 January 2018 (23:59 CET). Foryourinformation, thenextcallforinternshipapplicationswill take place in June 2018.
Kindly note thefollowingeligibilityrequirementsforinternshipcandidates:
Applicantsshouldcurrently be following a courseofstudy (last yearof a master’sdegreeorabove), orhavecompletedsuchstudies no earlierthan one year prior to thisapplication.
- Applicantsshouldhave a workingknowledge (both oral andwritten) of at least one ofthe ILO officiallanguages (English, FrenchorSpanish).
- Candidatesshould be adaptable to aninternational, multiculturalandmultilingualenvironment, havegoodcommunicationskillsand be able to work in a team.
NB: There is no age restriction.
Once a candidatehasapplied, his/her profile will be madeavailable to the ILO departments/fieldofficesthatmay be concerned. Following a firstscreeningbythe Human ResourcesDevelopmentDepartment (HRD), departmentswillshort-list applicants. Thecandidatewill be contacteddirectlyshouldaninternship match his/herspecific profile.
