Marc Daniels’ Returns With A Scorching New Single and Music Video, “Summer Song,” Dropping 8-24-17!
From His Latest Album, ‘The Starting Line’
(Los Angeles, CA) 8/20/17– American country-rock artist, Marc Daniels is set to release his second single and music video entitled, “Summer Song” from his recent record, The Starting Line. This scorching summer anthem will be available on August 24th.
In his new single, Daniels recounts the rich flashbacks of summer nights that start with road trips and bonfires. He embraces the seasonal memories that will continuously live on and remain with us forever. “Summer Song” begins with a roaring bassline and a twangy guitar pedal. Marc enters the first verse with his deep baritone, expressing his desire to leave the mundane routine and escape for the night. Marc’s charismatic vocals start to shift as the track begins to pick-up and lead into the spirit-lifting chorus.
"The specific situations in this song were stories pulled from my adolescence. Bonfires out in the middle of no-where, friends on dirt bikes; all while playing a show on a flatbed truck to a bunch of college students. These are powerful memories from my past, and my life is so much richer because of them. This song is about those years and carefree summers, we all remember growing up. The days when it seemed like time was all we had.” says Marc.
To accompany Marc Daniels’ newest single, Trespasser Productions produced a tremendous music video that recreates those reminiscent summer days. Filmed in Reno, NV and directed by Spencer Davies; the music video starts off following around young employees working at their seasonal job, counting down the minutes until their shift is over. They all head to a crazy bonfire out in the desert where they light off fireworks, ride around on dirt bikes, and just let go from all of their worries.
Marc continues to shake-up the country rock scene with his deep soulful vocals, natural storytelling and alluring music videos. After releasing his debut single “Redheads;” Daniels quickly received support from Country Music Life, Country Music Junkies, Vents Magazine, Variety Beat and more! Growing up in Spokane, WA, Marc Daniels starting playing the piano at an early age. It wasn’t until his early twenties that he began taking on a more active role as a singer and front man for several bands in the Pacific Northwest. With much success, Marc and his band members toured across the country and played at premier venues such as The Viper Room (Los Angeles), Knitting Factory (Spokane), Studio 7 (Seattle), University of Idaho and many more! In 2015, Marc decided to change the direction of his music style and originate back to his roots to create a heavily influenced country-rock album, The Starting Line which was released the following year.
