Dear Colleagues,
The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine (VKI) and Slovensko-Ukrajinsko Zdruzenje Podjetnikov(SUZP) are pleased to invite you to join our initiative on promotion of Slovenian exports to Ukraine(46+ million people market)– SLO-UA Export Initiative.
The idea of the initiative is to provide assistance to exporters interested to enter Ukrainian market by coordinating and decreasing the costs of participation in the major and largest trade fairs/exhibitions in the respective sectors.
We have compiled the list of all large trade fairs/exhibitions in 2012 in Ukraine for 9 major sectors of Slovenian economy (CONSTRUCTION, AGRIBUSINESS, IT INDUSTRY and TELECOMMUNICATIONS, TEXTILE-GLASS- PLASTIC, TRANSPORT, WOOD & FURNITURE, ELECTRICAL, MACHINERY AND METAL INDUSTRY, TOURISM) and included some of the most important among them into our initiative (please, see marked green in the attached list of events).
For the trade fairs/exhibitions under SLO-UA Export Initiative, SUZP will rent the exhibition space according to the requests received from companies (one stand for all). The cost for renting the joint space shall be split among participating companies. Apart from saving money, companies can also benefit from interaction with each other for possible joint projects in Ukraine, come up with joint proposals to importers/distributors/retails that could also decrease the costs of entering the market, etc.
This practice has proved successful in the past. The most recent example is UITT exhibition (tourism) where one stand was rented for Slovenian Tourism Organization and 13 Slovenian tour operators and tourism related companies.
Once you have come in Ukraine under SLO-UA Export Initiative you will be able to participate in another initiative of VKI – SLOExporter Mentoring Project. VKI jointly with SUZP will select for each of the sectors successful Slovenian companies already established in Ukraine (preliminary agreements have already been reached). The new-coming company to Ukrainian market, once there are serious intentions to establish here, will be able to get specific legal, financial, accounting, customs and other advice free of charge. There may be other forms of assistance provided, including using the office facilities, getting introductions to important potential clients or partners, etc.
Certainly, your company is most welcome to participate in the trade shows under this initiative or apart by renting its own space. We would still like to know about your plans to export to Ukraine as you could benefit from other assistance and advice on doing business in Ukrainethat can be provided to you by VKI and SUZP.
