  • I am the property owner, or am acting on behalf of property owner in this matter.
  • I am requesting Friends of Feral Felines (FoFF) to trap, neuter and return all feral cats currently living on my property.
  • Any feral cats or kittens trapped on my property who have the potential to be domesticated pets may be placed in the foster home (as space allows) and adoption program for home placement operated by FoFF.
  • FoFF volunteers shall be allowed to place humane traps on my property, solely for the purpose of trapping the feral cats, and will be allowed to check the traps as necessary.
  • FoFF has permission to trap until the entire colony has been trapped.
  • I will cooperate with FoFF in this endeavor.
  • FoFF shall have the cats tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Any cat testing positive shall be euthanized. In a large colony, a representative numbers of cats will be tested to determine the overall health of the colony.
  • Veterinarians affiliated with FoFF shall
  • spay or neuter the cats,
  • vaccinate the cats for rabies,
  • ear tip the cats for identification, and
  • treat the cats for ear mites or other minor medical problems.
  • If a cat has major medical problems, the veterinarian, caretaker, and FoFF will discuss options for what to do, which may include euthanasia.
  • FoFF may hold the cats to recuperate for a few days.
  • I agree as the colony manager/caretaker to
  • Feed the cats nutritious food and fresh water daily.
  • Feeding amounts will be ½ cup of dry food and ½ can of wet food per adult cat per day.
  • Monitor the cats for overall physical conditions
  • Provide cats who have obvious medical problems by re-trapping them for the purpose of providing care.
  • Be alert for new un-neutered cats joining the colony, and notify FoFF that trapping and neutering of this new cat is needed.
  • Notify the trapping coordinator when I am aware of any new kittens, as they will need to be removed and fostered as soon as they can leave the mother.

In return for the above:

  • The landowner (or his/her representative) will pay a fee of $25 for each cat trapped, neutered, and returned to the property.
  • FoFF will pay the balance of the veterinary costs for each cat (average $95).
  • The landowner will provide all the necessary food for this colony.
  • FoFF, in the event of a sick or injured cat in the colony, will provide/assist in necessary medical care for this animal.
