Fridge Magnets to Help Carers in Pooley Green, with the Bonus of 1 Hour Free Car Parking for All Customers

Runnymede Borough Council is working with the Pooley Green Shopping Parade Traders Association and the Alzheimer’s Society to help carers who are pressed for time as they are caring for someone. Carers asked for a fridge magnet with the opening times of the pharmacy, and the telephone numbers of shops that deliver food at the Pooley Green Shopping Parade. To help juggle collecting prescriptions, and providing meals, with looking after a loved one 24 hours a day.

Amore Pizza will include basic shopping items with regular customer pizza orders to help out carers. The free fridge magnets for carers were launched during National Carers Week at the Pooley Green Shopping Parade.

Runnymede Borough Council working with Surrey County Council has made access improvements to the public pay and display car park in Thorpe Lea Road. Just 2 minutes away from the Pooley Green Shopping Parade. One hour free car parking in the pay and display car park (on printing out a free car parking ticket, from the ticket machine), enables customers to stay longer at the shopping parade.
