Dear Students/Parents:
As part of a Social Studies project, your child will complete a research project.
Your child randomly chose the person, ______. The project will be due on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. We will use May 23rdand 24thas days to present the projects. Projects will not be taken after Wednesday, 5/22/13. Not turning in a project, will result in a major test grade of a zero (0) for Social Studies and for Reading.
We will use some time in class to research and gather information. However, everything will not be done in class. Some of the research and adding information to the box should be done at home.

Biography Cereal Box Project
Once you have finished researching your person, you will complete a cereal box report asyour project. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Cover a cereal box with colored paper or white paper. If you are writing directly on the paper, be sure to use a light shade so your blue or black ink willshow. lf you are going to type or write your information on another sheetof paper then paste it on your box, the background color won't matter.
2. On the front of the box, put the person's name and picture(s) of the person.
3. For the back of your box, design a game that includes information orkey words about your person. A crossword puzzle, word find, scrambledletters, "Monopoly," etc. would all be appropriate. When possible,provide an answer key. Be sure your game is informative!!!
4. On the right side of your box put a time line. You'll need at least 5 Key Facts beginning with the person's birth date for the timeline.
5. On the left side of your box, create "Fun Facts" or "Did You Know,"telling about your person. For the most part, the information you sharehere should be different from the facts included in your time line.
