5. What is the Course methodology? How and when are evaluations done?Is there any written test, practical or Viva?

Courses are mostly a combination of theory and practical, whichemphasize the understanding of material, technique, cultural context and inputs from crafts person.

The evaluations are done at the end of every module and may include a written test, practical or viva.

6. Does Institute prescribe the course material/ books?

Every module guide has a list of relevant list of books that the student can refer to.

7. Is the Course curriculum different for each specialization?

Yes. The course curriculum is based on the material and technique that each specialization offers. This is varied for hard material, soft material, fired materialand fashion design. There are some inputs which are common for all.

8. Does Institute provide any scholarships?

No. Institute offers only financial Aid sponsored by Ambuja Educational Institute as per their policy.

9. What is the fee structure?How much is the hostel and Mess fee? Is it compulsory to avail both Hostel and Mess?

IICD provides Professional Diploma in UG and PG programme which is relevant in the related field and students have no problem in getting jobs.

11. What is the profile of candidate after passing out from the Institute?

Candidate passing out from the Institute becomes a Craft Designer and is awarded a diploma in Craft Design.

14. Is hostel accommodation available for both boys as well as girls? Where is hostel located? What are the facilities provided in the hostel? What is the occupancy of rooms?

Yes, hostel facility can be availed by both girls and boys. Girls’ hostel is located at the Institute’s premises. Boys’ hostel is located in JawaharNagar, which is approximate 3-4 kms from the Institute. Hostels have air cooled rooms, mess facility, Wi-Fi environment(in girls’ hostel only), TV and a common room. Room occupancy varies from 3 to 4 in each room as per size of the room.

15. What type of food is provided in the Mess? How many meals are provided in a day?

Vegetarian food is served in Mess. Three times meal i.e Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served to students.

16. Are there any sport facilitieswhat are the extracurricular activities provided to students?

There are various sports equipments that students can borrow for the recreational purpose such as badminton, table tennis, and football along with a few indoor games. Apart from sports students also involve in cultural activities etc.

17. What are the Attendance rules applicable at the Institute?

75% Attendance is compulsory as per the IICD Norms

Yes. It is recognized by Institutes like NID, IDC. IICD pass-outs have also pursued higher studies at DOMAS Academy, Royal College of Art, London.

22. Is public transport easily available from the Institute?

Yes, there are auto rickshaws and cab services that can be availed

No

24. Does the Institute have any other campus in India?

25. After online registration is it necessary to send the print-out copy by post to the Institute?

No

26. What are rules regarding cancelation, withdrawal of admission? What are rules related to refund of fee?

If a candidate has been given provisional admission on the basis of appearance in the qualifying examination and result is awaited, and the candidate fails to clear the exam, the admission is cancelled.

Refund policy will be applicable in accordance to the number of days from the date of commencement of academic session i.e.4th July 2017.

The security amount will be fully refunded at the time of withdrawal of admission.

A written request for withdrawal of admission is to be submitted to the Deputy Registrar (Academics), IICD, Jaipur. The candidate will be required to surrender the original Admission Receipt issued at the time of Counseling/Admission while applying for withdrawal of admission. No request for withdrawal of admission would be entertained without original Admission Receipt.

The Application for withdrawal must be submitted on working days between 10.00 am – 4.00 pm within the stipulated dates as mentioned above.

The decision of IICD on matters relating to refund or withdrawal of candidature will be final. No further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained.

27. Entrance Test Centre for Admission in IICD

The IICD Entrance Test will be conducted at seven locations as mentioned in the box. The candidate can indicate his/her choices of 3 (three) Test centers in order of preferences.

a. General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test

Test is designed to judge the abilities such as estimation of sizes and proportion, observation, synthesis and visual interpretation and general awareness.

b. Material, Color & Conceptual Test

This test will assess the following abilities:

1. Intelligent use of materials, conceptualize and realize a 3 dimensional form, skill of handling material.

2. To observe, think and expand ideas, create solution based on a plan and strategy.

3. Ability to provide multiple solutions to the given problem with written description.

Material required for Material, Color & Conceptual Test: You must bring pens, pencils (2B, 4B & 6B), scissor, scale, cello tape, paper cutter, fevi-stick, eraser, color pencils/dry pastels/water color etc.

c. Interview
