STUDIES

  • Law Degree with full marks, cum laude, obtained at the University of Perugia, Italy.
  • Lawyer, admitted to IT Courts.
  • Specialisation course on international legal and economic disciplines, funded by the European Social Fund.
  • “Silvano Tosi” Study and Research Seminar on administrative law in Florence, organised and supported by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Senate, and the Chamber of Deputies of the ItalianRepublic.

WORK EXPERIENCE
From 1998 to 2000 conducted research activities upon receiving an honorary fellowship at the industrial law professorship of the University of Perugia; during the same period, closely examined the structure and dynamics of the advertising revenue market, especially investigating eventual setbacks in Community antitrust law through a research conducted in performance of a research agreement funded by the CNR (National Research Council);
from 2000 to 2001 collaborated with Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato (Competition and Market Regulatory Authority), competent in Italy for the enforcement of antitrust laws and for the regulation of misleading and comparative advertising;
Also participated in a work group made up of members from the Studies Service of the Chamber of Deputies and of professors and students from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, which focused on the evolution of financial market laws.
Conducted a research at the Chamber of Deputies of the ItalianRepublic aimed at verifying the degree of incisiveness of parliamentary intervention as to legislative acts adopted by the Government.
from 2001 to 2005 worked for the company Bugnion S.p.a.
Acquired through professional experience expertise in:

  • assessments, appraisals and estimates on the economic value of intellectual property;
  • preparation and negotiation of transfer, trademark license, patent, copyright, know how, and industrial design contracts;
  • preparation and negotiation of distribution, production, and product displacement contracts;
  • preparation and negotiation of research and development contracts;
  • assessments regarding the lawfulness of promotional messages, making sure these are not misleading and that they are acceptable from a competitive point of view;
  • assessments regarding admissible conditions in comparative advertising;
  • assessments regarding the lawfulness of competitive and contractual practices according to the dictates of Community antitrust law;
  • management and settlement of disputes on trademarks and distinctive signs in general;
  • management and settlement of disputes over domain names and trademarks;
  • management and settlement of unfair competition disputes;
  • management and settlement of business secret infringement cases;
  • management and settlement of industrial design disputes.
