Founded in the Mercy traditionin 1906, St Joseph’s College has a long history in achieving excellence in education. Located in the heart of Mildura, the modern and forward thinking College of today operates its wide-ranging curriculum from two main campuses, and is significant in providing outstandingeducational opportunities for students in years 7 to 12 within the Sunraysia area.

The important position of the College Psychologist is to provide psychological services to students within the College and to parents and staff where appropriate. Psychological services may involve psychological assessment, counselling and/or consultation to students, parents and college staff. Following identification of wellbeing, psychological and/or educational concerns a recommendation for referral out, or management within, the College may be made in consultation within the College’s referral system.

The successful person appointed to this role will be a fully registered psychologist, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in educational, clinical or counselling psychology. They will hold an industry membership with a peak professional group such as the Australian Psychological Society or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.

It is ideal to have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in education or a similar environment with a track record of excellence in quality output, service and the proven ability to handle pressure situations.

This is a full time, permanent position. Salary on offer recognises the seniority of the positionand will be commensurate with qualifications and experience under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2013. The position has 12 weeks annual leave per year.
