KEY WORDS
Please use your child’s key word mat to help them read and write some of the words that are not able to be read using freed-talk.
NEXT WEEKS TOPIC
We will be revisiting lots of different things next week from the past half term. In Literacy we will be working hard at writing really interesting sentences. In Maths we will be looking again at addition, subtraction, shapes, halving and doubling.
CUP OF KINDNESS
The Cup of Kindness has been awarded to Theo in the Choughs and Lexi in the Puffins for some lovely acts of kindness towards their friends this week. Well done to them both.
JUMPERS
Please can you ensure that your child’s jumper or cardigan is named? Now that the warmer weather is here, the children are taking off their jumpers more often, it is almost impossible for us to find the right child for the jumper if the item is not named! If your child has lost a jumper recently, then please check in lost property which is located in the school office.
PARENT DROP IN
Thank you to those of you that were able to attend our Parent Drop-In today, we hope you enjoyed it!
SAVE THE DATE
We are planning to hold our Sports Day after half term. The Puffins and Choughs Sports Day, which is the real Olympic event of the year, will be on Monday 27th June at 1.30pm. Another event to put in your diary is our Foundation Graduation which will be held on Wednesday 13th July at 2.00pm. More details to follow.
WELL DONE
We would like to say a big well done to our Puffins and Choughs. Both of the Supply Teachers who taught them whilst we were visiting pre-schools commented on how well behaved, polite and friendly the children were!
HOMEWORK
We would like your child to write about the Harry and the Dinosaur picture. Please encourage them to use capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and to sit their letters on the line. They should also make their writing as interesting as possible too. Thank you.
