Reading: Please refer to the Home Parent Letter and Focus Wall for “Schools Around the World” in your child’s LA section of their binder for details regarding this lesson’s reading and writing instruction focus.

Miscellaneous: The Save Around Coupon Book fundraiser ends this week. Consider purchasing a book to help raise funds for Home and School Activities and Events. The cost for each book is $25. If you aren't able to purchase one, consider asking a family member or friend! Please return any unwanted books by Thursday.
The Giving Tree program ends this Wednesday, December 14th! Please consider helping Walton Farm families in need during the holidays.The tree in the lobby has been changing before our eyes! The paper ornaments are becoming actual Christmas ornaments thanks to your donations!
Please continue to send in new pajamas for the pajama drive. The drive ends this Thursday, December 15th!
We’re looking forward to seeing our 5th grade buddies again next week to create a gingerbread man glyph!
Did you know that Student Council is having a “Penny War” from December 5th -16th?We are asking the children to bring in loose change and fill the jars. Fill Mr. Irvin’s jar if you’d like to see him wearing a Mets jersey and paint his beard orange and blue. Fill Mr. Rodriguez’s jar if you want to see him wear a Phillies jersey and paint his beard red. All money raised will be going to two Walton Farm families who are in need of some help this holiday season!
Math: Please continue to practice math facts with your child for quicker recall. It will help them tremendously with upcoming three-digit addition and subtraction!
