Chris Arkle

For Queens Campus chair

Hi, my name is Chris Arkle and I am a first year psychology student at Stephenson College. And I want tobe the Queens Campus chair

What have I done?

From being a member of the SCA, I have been involved in many projects including the road ahead project and events such as the spring elderly tea party. While these have been great opportunities to take part in,i can always see the possibility of future expansion. I have also attended the Queen’s Campus awards evening which was dedicated tovolunteers who helped out at volunteering week. This allowed me to see that the value of SCA volunteers should not be misunderstood and should always be supported, therefore thoughthis exec role I believe I can best help provide this support and help volunteers in a number of ways within their respective projects.

I have also been involved in projects outside of the SCA throughout my life, these include projects such as the summer and winter fair’s at my local school, both of these involved a lot of coordination with other volunteers and contacting people outside of the school to provide attractions. While this was rewarding in itself I believe that this has provided me with the necessary skills of which would be required in the role of Queens Campus chair.

My aims?

  • To further solidify the bonds between the SCA and the local community at queens campus as well as being on the lookout for new opportunities
  • To work closely with the other exec to offer the best possible events and projects to all SCA volunteers at Queens Campus
  • To offer the best support I can to project leaders in any issues they have with their project
  • Make the already great SCA even Greater

Why vote for me?

Volunteering has always been a big part of my life, and because of this I have always offered the same level of commitment and enthusiasm to every project I have done, I would offer these same quality’s to the queens campus chair exec position if voted in as well.
