All GAR dogs are sterilised(excluding puppies). All dogs/puppies are ‘prepared’ for entering the UK according to DEFRA requirements. In addition, they are blood-tested for Leishmaniasis, Ehrlichia, Babesia and Heartworm, which, although not required under the PETS travel scheme, we feel is important. The adoption fee/donation, £285 + £65 for the passport can be paid in 3-4 instalments. This amount (£350),barely covers half the expenses incurred for preparation of the dog for travel (vaccinations, microchip, blood tests, sterilisation (unless a young puppy), passport, transportation costs etc), but it helps towards the expenses of preparing another dog for homing in the UK and thus secures its future.
