Domino’s Pizza Sponsors The Hit on RTÉ One

The producers of Ireland’s tastiest pizza* Domino’s has signed up to sponsor new entertainment show The Hit on RTÉ One, in a move that will reflect the greatness aspect of Domino’s pizza and enhance even greater nights in.

The sponsorship deals includes stings running at the beginning and end of each show, as well as in and out of each break, pre-rolls around The Hit on RTÉ player, logo on all RTÉ TV promos and outdoor promotional materials and product placement in the opening show. In addition to this, Domino’s will have access to exclusive behind the scenes content and branding with a click to order feature on The Hit’s smart phone app. Domino’s pizza will have a presence at the O2 for the live shows and will partner with 2FM to promote the show and artists. The winning artists will receive €20,000 from The Domino’s Songwriting Bursary.

RTÉ 2fm is set to partner with The Hit and Domino’s Pizza across the schedule in a multi-platform sponsorship opportunity. Each of the two weekly shortlisted songs will get three plays across the day during primetime programming on RTÉ 2fm from Mon-Thurs. Each day, one play will air on Breakfast with Hector, Tubridy, Colm Hayes Show, Larry Gogan and Rick in theAfternoon. On the weekends: each song will get played on both Saturday and Sunday on Weekenders with Ruth and Paddy. 2fm links with The Hit each Friday as Jenny Green’s show comes live from inside the O2 from 8-9pm. Jenny will also be broadcasting from the 2fm Roadcaster which will be situated on site at the ‘3 Bears’ from 9-10.30pm.

About The Hit

The final line up of artists for The Hit has been revealed and the winning combination of acts will keep viewers entertained at home.This original series will see songwriters showcase their talent to music stars like Mundy, Julie Feeney and Republic of Loose, with the hope that they will pick their song. The stars then battle against one another to find the perfect song and are under pressure to select one they can turn into a hit.

The names and running order of appearance are:

Episode one, 26 July: The Stunning and Julie Feeney

Episode two, 2 August: Brian Kennedy and Ryan O’Shaughnessy

Episode three, 9 August: Johnny Logan and Duke Special

Episode four, 16 Aug: Samantha Mumba and Republic of Loose

Episode five, 23 Aug: Mundy and Finbar Fury

For the grand finale of the series the five successful artists will return to perform their song live in the O2 with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. But which artist will have the ultimate Hit? Only the viewers can decide!
