Town Creek Elementary

School Improvement Plan2016-2017

OVERVIEW

Our School:

With a commitment to continuous improvement, Town Creek Elementary School (TCES) has achieved Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Gold Standard recognition for eight consecutive years. TCES students are respectful, responsible and ready to learn. Even with a steady increase of economically disadvantaged students, 95% of our students are present every day, with minimal time out of the classroom for behaviors. We attribute our success to high expectations for appropriate behavior, rigorous instruction, and dedication to educating the “whole child.” Students are instructed using the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards (MCCRS) with an emphasis on engaging students in their learning. Together with support from staff, parents, guardians, volunteers, and our TCES community, we participate in Wellness and Green School initiatives, academic interventions, and enrichment opportunities to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to excel in a safe learning environment. TCES-Together, Committed to Excellence!
