The Plano Symphony Orchestra invites you to “Home for the Holidays- Christmas Treasures”
December 03, 2009, Plano, TX – Sponsored by Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, Collin County’s favorite holiday tradition is back! Join the Plano Symphony Orchestra for its annual holiday concert, “Home for the Holidays- Christmas Treasures” on Sunday December 20, 2009 at 4:00 or 7:30 pm at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. The concert will feature soprano Laurie Gayle Stephenson and the musical harmonies of the Rich-Tone MadriGal singers performing your favorite holiday melodies.
Celebrate the season with carols, a touch of holiday humor, special arrangements of your holiday favorites, visitors from the North Pole, the ever popular audience sing-along, and more! Laurie Gayle Stephenson will be performing contemporary favorites like “The Christmas Song” and “Christmas is the Best Time of Year”, while the orchestra will be present treasured classics including “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Oh Tannenbaum,” and “Glories Ring!” In Plano the holiday delight will include the Rich-Tone MadriGal Singers performing various holiday arrangements.
The sentiment and humor of “Home for the Holidays- Christmas Treasures” makes this concert an event that the whole family will enjoy. The varied selection of holiday music performed by the orchestra and its special guests will be the perfect addition to your holiday celebrations!
Frisco will host another opportunity to experience “Home for the Holidays- Christmas Treasures” at the Frisco High School Auditorium December 19, 2009 at 4pm. The entire audience is invited to the complimentary intermission reception to take photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus! Tickets are $10, open seating. Come early and enjoy holiday reception music by Frisco High School musicians.
