August 15-17 RP Advanced Mobile Systems (RPAMS) will host the 4th biennial Strike Challenge – a domestic capabilities and specialized response equipment demonstration. This unique event offers U.S. response and recovery teams and individuals the opportunity to participate in demonstrations ofthe newest equipment in emergency response, survivability, security, search and rescue and ‘special’ operations.

McMinnville, OR: Strike Challenge is the event of the year for those interested in experiencing firsthand the newest equipment for emergency response, survivability, security, search and rescue and ‘special’ operations. Over the course of three days – August 15 to 17 – U.S. response and recovery teams and individuals get to see the full capabilities of a variety of products, live and in action. Throughout the event a team of highly skilled assessors will also evaluate all products to understand the problems they solve and the gaps that future technologies will need to fill.

Strike Challenge is a unique opportunity for those in the field of response and recovery as it offers both the opportunity to see the newest specialized response equipment in action as well as the opportunity to participate in the demonstrations. Over the course of three days, attendees will get to review the latest equipment – all from U.S. suppliers – designed for response and recovery during chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological, manmade and natural disaster events.

“All consumers want to buy products that are of the caliber they expect,” says Terry Wilmeth, Co-Owner of RP Advanced Mobile Systems, “But when it comes to response and recovery, it’s absolutely critical that the products perform as promised, because it can mean the difference between a life saved and a life lost. That’s why we’ve set up Strike Challenge to be a series of live, interactive demonstrations. It allows response and recovery teams and individuals to see exactly how the equipment functions in those critical moments out in the field.”

With the support of the DTIC Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC), Strike Challenge will also offer insight into what is still needed from future technologies. DSIAC will be onsite aiding in the collection of user feedback, which will inform industry suppliers how to evolve, develop and propose new and/or emerging warfighter capabilities. This makes Strike Challenge important for both current and future response and recovery endeavors.

Any organizations that produce response and recovery equipment are encouraged to join the Strike Challenge exhibitors through the end of July. All individuals in emergency response, survivability, security, search and rescue and ‘special’ operations are highly encouraged to attend.
