What’s on Week Beginning 18th September 2017

For Forest School each child needs named clothes as follows:

·  Long trousers – both in summer and winter

·  Long sleeved top – both in summer and winter

·  Layers of clothing appropriate to the temperature and the season – in winter the children will need at least three layers to keep warm.

·  Waterproof top and trousers or a waterproof all in one suit. (We find that a good mix is waterproof dungarees and a waterproof jacket.)

·  Winter: Warm socks, hat and gloves.

·  Summer: long trousers and long sleeved tops are needed because it is cooler under the trees and they help to protect from scratches.

These should be old clothes or clothes that parents do not mind getting dirty. They will get wet, dirty and muddy.

19th September / Year 5 Parents / Year 5 Trip, Braeside: As we are quickly approaching the Yr5 trip to Braeside, Mr Everitt will be holding an information meeting for parents on Tuesday 19th September at 2.30pm. At the meeting, you will be able to find out more about Braeside and what we will be getting up to whilst we are away. It will also give you a chance to ask any questions that you might have and find out what the children will need to take with them. We know that some children (and parents) can feel anxious about their first residential experience so we hope that it will give us the chance to give you a little reassurance.
We are fully aware that some parents may not be able to make this time and if that is the case, Mr Everitt would be very happy to meet with you at a more convenient time to pass on any information and answer any questions that you might have.
To keep up to date with everything that’s going on at Braeside you can look at smsaosmington2017.wordpress.com.
