Play the Treasure Hunt for the Treasure State

with (Local Library Name)

Highlights include Online Fun and Prizes

(CITY NAME) --- The Montana State Library and (NAME OF LIBRARY) invite Montanans from Alzada to Zortman to participate in an online statewide scavenger hunt called “A Treasure Hunt for the Treasure State” during the week of Sunday, October 27 – Saturday, November 2. 2013. Players will be eligible to win great prizes like iPod™ nanos and iPads™. People can access the scavenger hunt online – anywhere, anytime – just like most library resources.

The “Treasure Hunt” questions can be found at (your local library’s web site) or at http://mymontanalibrary.org. Participants will find the answers by using the library electronic resources available online. All answers must be submitted electronically and will be verified for correctness, as well as for the library resources used.

There will be four separate contest categories with questions of varying difficulty available for students K-5, middle school, high school, and adult age groups. New questions will be posted every day of the week beginning on Sunday, October 27 and concluding on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Montana participants will submit their answers via an online submission form for verification.

The questions for Sunday, October 27, 2013 are:

Winners will be announced by mid-November 2013. Statewide prizes include six Apple iPod™ nanos, which will be presented to two winners each in the middle school, high school, and adult categories. Two Apple iPads™ will be provided for the winning elementary school classrooms.

All of the “Treasure Hunt” answers can be found through the electronic resources offered by participating Montana libraries. These online library resources are provided for all Montana residents through funding from the Montana State Legislature and the Governor of Montana. Prizes for the contest are provided by EBSCO, the vendor that provides the electronic resources used for the “Treasure Hunt for the Treasure State”.
