Weekly worship, coordinated by Worship Committee, staffed by minister and music director, and led by Lay Presiders and regular visiting leaders. Currently, average attendance is about 50 adults, seniors, no children.
b) Mutual Care (20%)
Our members and friends care for one another, coordinated by Pastoral Care Committee, staffed by minister, 2 UCW units, Healing Pathways ministry, gatherings for memorials and seasonal potlucks, and new initiatives in occasional Saturday events we may call ‘fun-raising’
c) Help for Others (20%)
We received and forwarded donations to the Mission and Service Fund for wider church work. We provided a Food Bank Depot open 3 mornings a week, a Clothing Sale one Thursday a month, and space for weekly AA meetings, KD Lunch monthly for school classes, and Garage Sales
d) Learning (10%)
We have a weekly bible study led by the minister, and occasional events to help inform and equip people for their ministry as Christians. After a strong history of children and youth work, we have no current programs for them.
e) Administration (10%)
The work that makes ministries of worship, care, help, and learning possible including staff and volunteer committees, council, and presbytery, to care for the finances, building, income and spending priorities of the church.
2. Minister’s Half-Time Position at Foothills UC in 2016
Currently, Foothills has called one halftime minister. The current minister plans to leave in the fall of 2017 after a bit more than 2 years with us. Currently, of 20 hours a week, the minister is onsite for 4 set hours Sunday, 2 regular weekday mornings, and occasional council and committee meetings, more than half of paid work hours. The remainder is spent in irregular and offsite time.
Balance of staff time in 2016: Worship 50%, Mutual Care 10%,
Help for Others 0%, Learning 20%, Administration 20%
