VACANCY NOTICE
TITLE: ITINERANT ENGLISH as a NEW LANGUAGE (ENL) TEACHER
Part-time, 50% position Certified Position
10-Month School Calendar Affiliation: Teacher’s Association
Location: Finger Lakes Residential Facility.
DUTIES: The Itinerant English as a New Language Teacher (ENL) will be responsible for teaching students in both the Finger Lakes Residential Facility. The ENL teacher will be familiar with the responsible for developing an ENL curriculum appropriate to the NYS mandated regulations for services and the grade/ability levels of the student being taught. The ENL teacher will be familiar with the Bilingual Common Core Progressions. The teacher will maintain appropriate student records and is responsible for assessing students per NYS regulations. The ENL teacher must be flexible and able to work as a member of a team. The teacher will perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess NYS Teacher Certification in ESL/ENL (English as a Second/New
Language) as required.
START DATE: As soon as possible.
SALARY: $44,500.00 (2017-2018 Full-time teacher base salary to be pro-rated based on percentage of time worked – 50%), with additional credit for prior experience, Masters Degree and Graduate Credits. Benefits are available.
