The successful partnership between Danish designer Christian Flindt and Louis Poulsen forges ahead with the ambitious LP GRAND system for large rooms.
We asked for big – and got it. Christian Flindt's illuminated round luminaire family features a diameter range from 22.8 to 59 inches and bears the prestigious name, LP GRAND. The fixture can be surface- mounted on the ceiling or suspended by wires. It has a simple silhouette with soft harmonic lines.
With LP GRAND, Christian Flindt has succeeded in developing an extremely versatile fixture series, with countless combinations. It offers architects, engineers, and designers a light toolbox for any project.
The round ceiling fixturescan be arranged in any conceivable pattern without disrupting the ceiling surface – in rows, formations or patterns, in various sizes and at different heights. Its use is only limited by your creativity. LP GRAND provides light that fulfills functional requirements while also creating a unique atmosphere.
The fixture is ideal for hotels, restaurants, schools and offices – specifically, locations that require comfortable and energy efficient lighting with appealing design. LP GRAND works well in rooms with high or low ceilings, and the fixture family encourages the creation of innovative and inspiring lighting environments.
The LP GRAND fixture emits 90% of its light downward through an opal acrylic shade. The result isa glare-free and uniform diffuser. The uplight is channeled through a dual-curved reflector. The edges glow with light emanatingbetween the rings. The area surrounding the fixture is thereby illuminated, creating a decorative effect that smooths out the luminance.
LP GRAND is an ambitious new initiative, indicating the new ownership and leadership of Louis Poulsen. This reestablishes Louis Poulsen as the first choice for lighting projects where comfort, atmosphere and design are the key factors.
LP GRAND is available in three colors – black, white and champagne. The luminaires are designed around high-efficiency LED light sources and are available in diameters of 22.8", 34.7", or 58.3". Lumen packages exceed 20,000 lumens with standard dimming control. As with all Louis Poulsen luminaires, LP GRAND has been engineered to meet the highest quality standards and incorporates the latest technology advances.
