I refer to the programmed inspection of the above food business on the 2 February 2010.

I am pleased to advise you that the premises were in a generally satisfactory condition and trust that you will continue to maintain the good standard. However there were some minor issues that require your attention and should be completed within the specified times.

The star rating and category scores of the inspection will be published on the www.food.gov.uk/scores website no sooner than14 days after the date of inspection.

The star rating awarded to your food business is based on the score for each of the following categories:

Food Safety.

The following matters are contraventions under the Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006, unless otherwise stated.

These regulations set out basic principles to be followed by all food businesses. They focus on the identification and control of food safety hazards to ensure that the food produced is wholesome and safe for consumption.

1. / The cutting boards beneath the wash up area were not clean. Thoroughly clean the boards and maintain in a clean condition.

There are plans to remove the staff toilet from the kitchen area and therefore free up some more space. I would strongly recommend that you continue with these plans. / To note

Food Safety.

1. / All food should be kept covered when stored to prevent any possible risk of contamination. Food should be properly wrapped or stored in clean, lidded, washable containers.
2. / As discussed during the visit it is recommended that fly screens are provided to those external windows of the kitchen which are used for ventilation at times when high risk open food is handled.
