Food Handler Certification Course
The City of Bridgeport Health Department has teamed up with StateFoodSafety.com™ a division of AboveTraining. Inc.™ to provide Food Handler Certification course. The certification is intended for those who work in food service field within City of Bridgeport. The course is offered for $25 and is purchased online with a debit card or credit card. Participants then sign up below to take the exam at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center (999 Broad Street, 2nd Floor Computer Room, Bridgeport, CT 06604) with a proctor from the City’s Environmental Health Division. PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT TO TAKE THE EXAM AT HOME.Exams taken at home will not be signed by a Proctorat Bridgeport Health Department, and unsigned certificates will not be accepted upon inspection.
To register:

2. You may choose to complete the training portion of the course at home or at the health department when you are scheduled to take your exam. (You may NOT take the exam portion of the course at home)

Classes will be held on the first Tuesday of every month from 9am to 11am. Additional classes will be added on an as needed basis, and will take place from 1pm to 3pm on the same day as the normally scheduled course. If you have a group of five or more and need an additional class, you may request one by contacting the Bridgeport Environmental Health Division at 203-576-7474.
Participants may park on the street.
