Froedtert Hospital Pre-Surgery Patient Instructions

The Day before Your Surgery (Friday if your surgery is on Monday)

A nurse will call you between 2 & 5 PM to inform you of the time you are to arrive and answer any last minute questions.

If you do not receive a call by 5 PM, or are unavailable for us to call between 2 & 5 PM, we ask that you call Day Surgery @ 414-805-3285.

Although we try to make every attempt to contact you personally, if this is not possible, we leave a brief message on your answering machine indicating the time you should arrive. If this is not acceptable please call the Day Surgery on the day before your surgery with instructions on how to contact you.

Do NOT eat or drink anything after midnight, the day before surgery, unless otherwise instructed. This includes chewing gum, mints or hard candy.

The Morning of Surgery

You will be asked to arrive 2-3 hours prior to the time of your surgery.

Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to get on and off.

Other items to remember as they pertain to you:
