ROUND 2 - NSW FLY FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND QUALIFYING COMPETITION FOR 2014 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

COMPETITION SECTORS: Tantangara Dam and Eucumbene Dam, Snowy Mountains, NSW.

METHOD: Boat fishing, Loch Style.

BASE: Snow Goose Hotel, Adaminaby NSW.

SESSIONS: 4 x 3 hour sessions.

COMPETITION ENTRY FEE INCLUDING FFA INSURANCE

Fishing Members of FFA over 25 YOA $50 (if bringing competition boat) and $80 (without boat)

Fishing Member of FFA / Young Guns (18 TO 25 YOA) $25

Non-members of FFA are welcome: $80 (with boat) and $110 (without boat) NB: this fee includes insurance component.

Competition ENTRY FEE is payable online on the FFA Website (closing 6 December 2013).

Registration will be between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm on Friday 13th December 2013 followed by the draw and competition briefing. Please note that you must lodge your entry nomination for this competition by 6 December 2013.

No meals are included.

ENTRY NOMINATION

Entry nomination for the competition please contact McCallum by Friday 6 December 2014. Note that you must complete online entry nomination for this competition. ENTRY NOMINATION CLOSES FRIDAY 6 December 2013.

Note: Once you have nominated you will be obliged to pay the entry fee even if you pull out prior to the competition.

As all 4 sessions will be fished from boats we will need one boat for every two anglers plus at least one spare. Please advise David McCallum at time of entry nomination if you can bring a boat.

BOAT PARTNER DRAW AND SCORING

These will be attended to by David McCallum. For this competition fish must be at least 18cm to be eligible to score. FIPS and FFA scoring will apply with 100 points per eligible fish plus 20 points per cm. Fish are to be measured to nearest millimetre by controllers and this will be rounded up by the scorers.

CLOSED WATERS

Tantangara dam (whole of reservoir) and Eucumbene dam (except for water south of Walruna Point which is available as practice water) will be closed to all competitors from midnight on Wednesday 11th December 2013 (ie two full days prior to competition as per FFA rules which means no fishing comp waters on Thursday or Friday). Any competitor fishing the competition waters (boat or bank) or putting a boat on the competition waters after the close off will be disqualified from all sessions that they fish on the breached competition water. All competitors must take responsibility for their own actions.

COMPETITION RULES.

FFA competition rules as set out on the website www.flyfishaustralia.com.au apply to this competition and will be strictly enforced.

·  Any dispute will be determined in accordance with the FFA Protest Resolution procedure. A copy of that document can be downloaded off the website www.flyfishaustralia.com.au

·  Eligible scoring species: Brown Trout / Rainbow Trout / Brooke Trout / Atlantic Salmon

·  Minimum fish length for scoring: 18cm

·  All score sheets must be handed to the Competition Organiser, David McCallum, within 30 minutes of the completion of each session.

·  PFD's (life jackets) must be worn in all boat sessions. PFD’s are to be in current service date as required by Maritime NSW regulations. Competitors are to provide their own PFD’s and should not rely on boat owners to provide them.

·  EMERGENCY PROCEDURES If a boat requires assistance oars must be held vertically for the safety boat to see. Other boats are requested to render assistance. In the event of an emergency on the lake mobile phones and radios can be used to obtain assistance but are strictly prohibited for any other purpose.

All competitors must take responsibility for their own actions.

Neither Fly Fish Australia Inc. or Fly Fish Australia Inc. NSW CHAPTER accepts any responsibility for any injury or loss incurred by any competitor, official or any participant or observer during the running of Fly Fish Australia Inc. NSW CHAPTER competitions or other events.
