Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing and hiring all employees including key members.
  • Manage the recruitment system, paying particular attention to advertising, screening, reference checks and administration of all new hires.
  • Tracks the list of the recruitment agencies and their terms and conditions, introduces standardized terms and conditions for the recruitment vendors.
  • Ensure all positions hold up to date job description compiled by the relevant Department Manager.
  • Maintain a fully functioning HR Department including employment screening, referrals, personnel record keeping, compensation and benefits.
  • Available for employee at all levels to advise, counsel and assist with problems or queries.
  • Encourages a good standard of employee conduct and behavior and assist the Director of HRin all disciplinary and investigation procedure and ensure hotel policy and legal compliance.
  • Maintains close contact with all Department Heads through departmental visits, serving as an advisor and internal consultant on employee relations issues.
  • Handles new joiner formality.Prepare employee ID cards, contracts, offer letters, increment letters, promotion, pre-employment medical & appointment letters.
  • Apply for the medical cards, sanitary cards for new joiners, renew ID cards,handle employee’s group insurance and settlements.
  • Ensures all new employees attend the hotel's Orientation Programme in accordance with Carlson guidelines.Ensure that all the learning link training is complete by employee on time.
  • Co-ordinates, controls and inspects staff accommodation, locker, employees’ restaurant and ensures it is of the highest possible standard of cleanliness and comfort.
  • Liaises with the Executive chef with regard to the Staff Cafeteria, particularly on the quality, variety and nutritious value of the food served.
  • Manage all government relations requirement liaising with ESIC/PF/Labour consultant and PF/ESIC & Assistant Labour Commissioner.
  • Co-ordinates and encourages sports and social activities on a regular basis.Supervise organization of year round events to maintain high moral within employees like monthly Cafeteria meeting, Responsible Business September action month, Diwali celebration, staff party, New Year party, Town Hall, Employee Survey and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
  • Prepare list of Staff birthday, work anniversary celebration and employment contract renewal.
  • Ensure that all activities are completed with the best possible result and within departmental financial guidelines, budgets and manning levels.
  • Ensure all relevant employee information is updated in HR system, ensure all employee file are kept up to date and to ensure confidentiality of employee information is maintained at all time, in line with Carlson data privacy policy.
  • Monitor the Performance Appraisal Development Plan, Yearly Performance Appraisal lease with Learning & Development Manager to ensure that all Carlson guidelines are followed.
  • Control costs when possible and assist in meeting hotel/departmental financial targets.
  • Handle the exit interview and end of service process.
  • Ensure that the HR department follows standards in relation to HR and Brand Audit and achieves required ratings.
  • Submission of regular reports as required in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director of Human Resources in the smooth and efficient running of the Human Resources Division, ensuring that all the policies and procedures outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual are strictly adhered.
  • Recruitment conducts interviews and coordinates recruitment activities in liaison with the respective Heads of Department.
  • Employee monthly attendance checking and salary process.
  • Apply for visa for expat and renew residential permit in conjunction with Foreign Register Officer Goa & Home department state of Goa and New Delhi.
  • Coordinates all visas and immigration activities when necessary and monitor the passports and immigration papers of foreign national employees.
  • Be up to date with regard to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws, rulesregulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures.

  • Assists in ensuring that the hotel is adhering to all Hotel Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinary, grievances.
  • Provides the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to employees (internal customers) and other visitors to the division; maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
  • Assists in ensuring that Employee Facilities, such as Employee Restaurant, Employee Residences, etc. are maintained to Hyatt International's high standards of operation.
  • Assists the Security Manager in locker and first aid box inspections.
  • Counsels’ employees in career prospects, personal issues, job related issues, grievance, and discipline.

  • Statutory Compliances - Labour registers, outsourced staffs Contract Renewal.
  • Prepare full and final settlement. for resigned employee and conduct Exit Interviews for resigned employees and provides feedback to the Director of Human Resources.
