August 22-26 / Revisit the 5 story elements, revisit dialogue used in a narrative, use Flocabulary to review the elements of a story, introduce a narrative graphic organizer, sensory details, complete story maps, vocabulary 3
August 29-2 / Descriptive language, sensory details, Introduce Thinking Bubbles, Display a shoe and have students to use their imagination of what could become of the shoe (teacher will model thinking aloud using her imagination), Use the prewriting stage (brainstorming) graphic organizer to begin creating an outline of a narrative on (The Magical Flying Shoe), vocabulary 4
