Click import all to import all of the clips shot, OR select specific clips by dragging them into the box in the lower left corner of the screen, depending on need to import. Please only import clips that are needed so as not to take up valuable storage space. If you are using your own external firewire drive for your scratch disk, then you may certainly import all.

Repeat for each card, if you have more than one, under the Volumes/Paths Menu.

Drag your project from your media space to your external storage device (flash drives not recommended)

Saving Movies and Exporting Final Cut Pro Projects to DVD

Once raw footage has been transferred to Final Cut Pro we need to export it or a DVD. Since the project is digital, a DVD is in many cases the preferred form.

Exporting

You don't export projects, only sequences. A single project may have a number of sequences, so make sure that the finished one is active in the time line and showing on the canvas.

Next select Export from the File menu and click on "QuickTime Movie..."

Export any other projects that are completed the same way and then close Final Cut Pro. You should now see your file with .mov as its extension.

Drag that movie file into TOAST (BE SURE TO HAVE TOAST SET FOR VIDEO – SEE THOSE INSTRUCTIONS!!!)
