God is a personal God who expresses His love by communicating with us. As we open ourselves up to God’s love we learn to hear His voice. Compare mass communication with personal communication.

God is Creator

Through the study of the Creation we see the greatness of God’s creative act. The earth is a special place.

God is Provider: God tells us that we are to care for His creation and the resources He has given us:

God does not change but our world does. We can trust in our unchanging God and rely on Him for wisdom in a changing world

Jesus upheld integrity: He served others before Himself. He carried through with His actions overturning the tables in the temple when people were trading for money rather than honouring God.

  • Follow God’s rules for Godly family living.
  • Fathers should take on a leadership role in the family but not to be overbearing.
  • Mothers aim to be the diligent wife (Proverbs 31).
  • Parents are to love and care for children.
  • Children are to obey parents.
  • Have positive attitudes towards family members
  • Serve one another as a community.
  • Have sensitivity towards others with a different “make up” of family, e.g. single parents; foster children
  • Thank God, our loving Father, for His desire to forgive and love us when we do something wrong
