fi360 President and CEO Blaine Aikin Elected to CFP Board of Directors
Appointment effective January 1, 2013
PITTSBURGH, PA; December 3, 2012 – fi360 is pleased to announce that its CEO and President, Blaine Aikin, CFP® has been named to the Board of Directors of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
Effective January 1, 2013, the CFP Board will have 14 voting members and one non-voting member. Rutgers School of Law professor Arthur B. Laby and Thomas C. Nelson, president of the national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength, were also elected this past month.

Recognized and respected for his expertise in the area of fiduciary responsibility, Aikin started at fi360 as the Chief Knowledge Officer and Director of Training, where he developed the AIFA program and the Fiduciary Excellence concept, which is at the heart of fi360’s products and services. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and Director of Product Development and Management for PNC Advisors and as principal and Chief Investment Officer of Allegiance Financial Advisors.
Mr. Aikin is the author of numerous articles on the subjects of fiduciary responsibility and investment management, and the author of the monthly Fiduciary Corner column in InvestmentNews magazine. In 2011, he was named to Investment Advisor magazine's IA25 list of the most influential people in the investment advisory community. He received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Allegheny College and his M.S. in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie-Mellon University.
