FERRING ROADS SCHEME ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the Executive Committee held at the Village Hall on Tuesday 14th November 2017.
Present Mrs Margaret Metcalf, Mr Dave Hammond, Miss Feona Clarke, Mr Peter Sims, Mr Richard Potton, Mrs Anne Harris, Mr John Dutson and Miss Diana Wood.
Apologies: Mr Chris Headon and Mr Stuart Salter.
Treasurer's report: Richard Potton produced the accounts down to the end of October. Another £445 had been spent on roads maintenance. There was £81,000+ in the Bank but not all the road works had been completed so, when the work was done, those bills would have to be met.
Membership report: Anne said she had the letters ready for sending out for the final reminder of overdue annual subscription, which would be requested not later than 12th December.
Road wardens: Feona Clarke promised to get the reminder letters to her wardens as soon as they were ready.
Roads report: Chris had sent a brief report to the effect that the Langbury Lane site had been repaired with new slabs and timber posts installed to prevent cars from parking on the area. 3 gully pot repairs were done at the same time, by the contractors.
Dudmans will be carrying out the annual road sweeping task first week in December.
The remaining road repairs will be undertaken in January by Drivepoint and the price will remain the same as that quoted in 2017.
Gardens report: Peter Sims said that at the Langbury Lane site the tree had been removed from the corner. All the tubs at the various sites had been delivered by Ferring Nurseries. The large shrubs at the Clover Lane site still remain to be pruned. At the Ocean Parade site one flowerbed has been cleared up and re-planted and The Grove site has had the edging tidied up.
Publicity: Nothing, in Stuart's absence.

1. Stuart would be asked (on his return) to refresh the website with some recent photographs of houses or the sea or gardens etc. in the village.
2. Chris Headon had suggested having a real 8' Christmas Tree at the Ocean Drive site. This was discussed and generally agreed and Peter will pursue the matter.
