FERRARI FASTEST IN PRE-SESSION TESTING – AGAIN!

With the first Grand Prix of the 2008 season a little over six weeks away, Ferrari have once again set the pace in pre-session testing, with Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa putting the F2008 at the head of the time sheet at Valencia in Spain.

With ten teams testing, the pre-season programme in Spain provides an insight into who will be the team and drivers to beat when the 2008 Formula One season gets underway, especially with the rule changes eliminating driver aids such as traction control.

Focusing on general car set up, the Ferrari team experienced now problems during the test session, with Massa setting the fastest time of1'12"182 followed team mate during 97 laps and World Champion, Raikkonen completing 105 laps with a fastest time of 1'12"721. The Williams of Nico Rosberg was third at 1'12"838, followed by the McLaren drivers in fourth and fifth places, with Heikki Kovalainen, 1'13"026 and Pedro De La Rosa, 1'13"163.
