Donna Callaghan, PhD, RN-BC, CNE

Donna Callaghan is a Board Director FCNI and Chair of the FCNI Research Committee. She is an Associate Professor at Widener University School of Nursing in Chester, PA where she teaches gerontology, research, and statistics in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She is a certified faith community nurse and practices within her faith and university communities.She is lead faculty for the IPNRC’s Foundation of Faith Community Nursing Curriculum at her university. Dr. Callaghan's program of research includes faith community nursing intervention development and implementation.

Esther Brown, Ed.D, RN, Th.B

Esther Brown Is a member of the Research Committee of FCNI. She is an Associate Professor at Widener University School of Nursing. She serves as the Director of Civic & Community Engagement for the School of Nursing. She is also an ordained Minister in the Union, American Methodist Episcopal Church (UAME) and Pastor. Her qualitative research and publications focus on the health disparities of the community and the interrelationship of spiritual and physical health.

Kristi Carpenter, DNP, CNP

Kristi Carpenter is currently employed at the Cleveland Clinic as a dual certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner in Transitional and Long-term care. She provides hospitalist-type medical coverage at a gero-psych facility, skilled facilities, and acute and primary care in long term care and assisted living. She has been employed as a nurse practitioner for 7 years and prior to that had experience as an RN in hospitals, home health care, long term care, and employee health. Kristi’s DNP project, which did have statistical and clinical significance, involved the development, implementation, and evaluation of a six-week educational intervention with goal setting skills on dietary intake and self-efficacy in the fifty plus year old adult in the faith community nursing setting. She enjoyed being part of a model that addresses whole person care of the body, mind and spirit and is looking forward to continuing the development of programs with measurableoutcomes for this specialty.

Susan Chase,EdD, RN, FNAP

Susan Chase is a member of the Research Committee. She is a Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs at the College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida. She serves as a hospital visitor at All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park. Her research and publications have centered on qualitative research methods and faith community nursing theory and outcomes.

Yvette Dulohery, EdS, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC, ANP-BC, FCN

Yvette Dulohery is a member of the FCNI Research Committee, and is a representative from the FCNN Research Committee. She has been on the faculty at Minnesota State University, Mankato and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She is completing a doctorate at Nova Southeastern University focusing on the effects of Web-based learning for Parish Nurses/Faith Community Nurses. Her service extends to starting a Health Ministry at two small rural churches in Minnesota.

Susan Dyess, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, NE-BC, HWNC-BC

Susan Dyess is a Board Director and Secretary of the FCNI organization. She is an Associate Professor and Coordinator for the Advanced Holistic Master's in Nursing concentration at Florida Atlantic University,Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. Her program of research is holistic nursing leadership with a particular focus on faith community nursing.

AndraOpalinski, PhD, ARNP, CPNP-PC, NC-BC

AndraOpalinski is a pediatric nurse practitioner, certified nurse coach and an Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University, Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. Shehas been affiliated with ministries of health and a faith community nurse for over 10 years. Her program of research is supporting local congregations to provide healthy environments for children as well as holistic health promotion efforts for homeless persons through faith communities.

DeborahZeibarth, PhD, MSN Ed, RN-BC

Deborah Ziebarth has over 30 years of experience in nursing, working extensively in the areas of Intensive Care, Community Health, Global Health and Academia. She has been a Faith Community Nurse (FCN), Community Benefit Manager, and now, a FCN researcher. She is active on the Wisconsin FCN Coalition Board and has held the Education Chair since 2003. She has consulted with the International Parish Nurse Resource Center on various projects since 1995 and now is employed as Manager of Research and Special Projects for the Church Health Center in Memphis, TN. She sits on the FCN Expert Panel for the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Deborah teaches Research, Leadership, Community, Ethics, and Global Health and is a FCN Foundation’s Course educator.
