Faster Tandberg RDX appliance and drives with up to 1000 MB/s available from Starline.
The new QuikStation 8 is a high-flexible removable disk appliance and provides small and medium enterprises versatile opportunities for backup, restore, storage and disaster recovery. It is 4 to 5 times faster than the previous model and provides data transfer rates of up to 1000 MB/s.
The QuikStation 8, connected via iSCSI, allows an easy integration into physical and virtual environments and also for operation in hybrid cloud storage architectures. With a variety of different operating modes, such as disk, RDX, tape automation or a combination of RDX and tape automation, the RDX
QuikStation 8 is one of the most versatile backup solutions.
RDX combines the benefits of disk and tape, fast data access and long-term preservation. Together with high capacitive RDX removable media from Tandberg, the system provides online storage with unlimited offline storage. The new RDX QuikStor drive is designed for erver installation and with the SATA III interface a quick removable disk system for data storage and archiving. It provides full read and write compatibility with all current and future RDX media generations and it is seven times faster as the previous SATA I model.
The RDX QuikStor SATA III is suitable to back up individual virtualization hosts. The data throughput of up to
330 MB/s enables an improved integration in Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware. RDX drives are available as internal and external versions. The external RDX USB3+ drive with USB 3.0 can be used as an external USB hard drive. However, it is much more robust and reliable. RDX USB3+ is suitable for mobile operation, in the media and entertainment industry, for sales representatives or simply for the distribution of data to other locations.
