Minutes of Site Council Meeting held on January 21, 2009
Meeting was called to order by Principal Barbara Brown at 6:05 p.m.
In attendance: Barbara Brown, Mark Brush, Melissa Lane, Colleen Malone-Engel, Dina Wahlert, Tram Nguyen, Kristian Knight Absent: Ann Easley-Bishop, Nancy DeFelice, Alicia Jackson
Barbara Brown welcomed all in attendance.
Review of Minutes of Site Council meeting held on October 7, 2009: Approval of Oct. 7, 2008 meeting minutes postponed until next meeting, tentatively scheduled for Feb. 3, 2009
Site Plan:
- New format for school site plan
- Barbara Brown met with ELAC parents on January 13, 2009 to present and discuss the site plan. Follow the discussion and question/answer session it was unanimously approved.
- Site plan content and revisions were discussed by committee.
- Mrs. Brown kept master copy of revisions; she will incorporate changes made this evening and forward new copies of the site plan to committee members.
- Mrs. Brown will present our approved site plan to the Board of Education at their meeting on February 24, 2009.
- Melissa Lane was interested in using parts of revised site plan (for example: school mission statement) at Kindergarten Night in March.
Melissa Lane moved to accept the site plan with corrections made this evening; Colleen Malone-Engel seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Next meeting: tentatively scheduled for Feb. 3, 2009 at 6:00 p.m., at the discretion of principal and site council president.
