What went good?

  • Overall great participation
  • Great interest at booth
  • Nice presentation on laptop at the booth
  • Water spray was a hit
  • Right amount of candy

What could have gone better?

  • Throw candy further from the street
  • Need more maps for sale.
  • Short on people and vehicle space at the end of the day.

Suggestions for next year:

  • Include Powerpoint slideshow of pictures (walk through of each trail), project on back wall of booth
  • Bring back bound trails book.

9/11 Hike and Geocache Group – September 11thmeet at 6:30AM, hike at 7:00AM. Details still being worked out. Strenuous hike for most. It was suggested to keep everyone on trail (no bushwacking). George will email press contacts to Randy West. Randy West to put article in Farmington Newsletter and other press. Newsletter submissions due by August 5th.

  • South end of Farmington by skate park, fresh dirt put on railroad. Is this part of a planned trail? Sidsays he does not know.
  • WoodlandPark – trail marker down.
  • Legacy garbage cans – UDOT would provide and maintain. Nathan should ask Cory Pope at UDOT about plans.
  • Trail Watch List: See other sheet.
  • USFS Prescribed Burn–George will invite everyone to Prescribed Burn Meeting
  • Bush Trimmer Coordination -- All
  • Rails-to-Trails plan–George. Max Forbush said state had funding to pave all the way thru Farmington.
  • Shepard Creek Kiosk – now installed
  • Trail Kiosk and Medallion Post Wood Sealing – now done
  • Puncture Vine Weed Spraying – George has herbicide
  • Poison Ivy Spraying – George sprayed Shepard Creek Trail and BST by Bella Vista Mine
