Family History Source Sheet No. 14

The City Archives holds records that can be used to trace ancestors who may have once lived or worked within the City of Adelaide, that is the area of the City ‘square mile’ and upper and lower North Adelaide surrounded by the Park Lands. The Archives is only one of several City-based institutions which hold records relating to the study of genealogy. The material held by the City Archives should be regarded as one link in a chain of sources of information about family history that can only be fully researched by reference to the records of the various institutions.
