“Connecting Children and Families to Supports and Services”

The purpose of this activity is to introduce you to state agencies that offer services that may support some of your ECI children and families.

This section, “Connecting Children and Families to Supports and Services,” will provide you with a framework to conceptualize the extensive system of supports and services that link families to needed services.

Keep in mind that the programs you are introduced to reflect SOME but not all resources that can be offered through the Health and Human Services Commission. Learning about all of the available resources for families is an ongoing process.

Directions: Explore the Texas Health and Human Service Commision’s websites provided in this activity.When you have finished the review, complete the matching exercise below and give to your supervisor.
