COMMITTEE MEETING on 25th.May 2012

Attending: Mr M.Lane, G Peskett Secretary , Mrs A Lane, Mrs B Daw, Mr M Rossiter, Mrs N Small, Mrs S Starmer,

Cllr. C Davies PC Rep. Proposal by Mrs Daw that Mr.Lane be asked to be Chairman, all agreed. Mr Timberlake to be asked to be Vice Chairman at next meeting.

Apoligies: Mrs P Cooper Treasurer , Mrs B Frewin, Mr P Timberlake, Mr & Mrs Perry, new members asked by Mr Lane..

Minutes: Mr Lane asked if the minutes of the last meeting 26th.April were a true record of the meeting, they were agreed and signed as a true record.

Matters arising: Cllr.Davies asked if we gave Mr Ackrill a reduction in his hire charge, the answer is no,as these are our normal charges.

Correspondence: A letter from e.on to say they would not release us from the contract for Gas until 7 May 2014.

A letter from nPower to say that our present suppliers had objected.

Christchurch and East Dorset Councils has invited the committee to attend a Business Meeting at the Hall on Tuesday 12th.June 5.45 for 6pm, regarding the future plan for West Parley.

Treasurer: Current AC £7403, D AC £5161 and Nat Savings £7533. Bookings picking up at the moment:

It was agreed to take the money out of Nat Savings and put in a ‘B’ deposit account, Mrs Starmer to look into a better interest bearing Account for Charities.

June 7&8th, Mr Ackrill 8.30 till 5.30 both days, Gary to deal.

Hall Improvements : none.

Still waiting for Payback people to arrange the painting.

Any Other Business: Secretary found the one of the hinges on the counter top was broken, asked for suggestions where to obtain a replacement. Castles in Christchurch, would be the best to try. Footnote managed to get one from them and fitted the next day.

Mrs Daw will ask the WI if the memorial Cherry tree in front of the Hall in Memory of Mrs.Gray, could be moved to the side about twenty feet. This free up the view of the hall.

Also to look into the Notice Board to be fitted to Meter Room wall after the exterior has been painted.
