1Chair’s Introduction
The Chair welcomed all members to the Board and in particular the Subject External Examiner(s) and advised all on the need for the confidentiality of these proceedings.
There were no declarations of conflict of interest.
The Chair confirmed that moderation processes had been employed in the
setting and marking of assessment according to Manchester Met policy and procedure.

6Assessment Regulations
6.1Role of the Board
The Chair drew the Board’s attention to the Terms of Reference of the Unit Results Board (Section 5(i) of the Procedures for the Conduct of Assessment Boards [Insert Date of current version e.g. 2014]).
6.2Regulations for Passing Units
The Chair reminded the Board that the [Insert Date of current version e.g. 2014/15] Assessment Regulations for Undergraduate Programmes of Study applied in the case of Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 Units[i]. The [Insert Date of current version e.g. 2014/15] Assessment Regulations for Taught Postgraduate Programmes of Study applied in the case of Level 7 Units.
7Standards of Student Assessment and Performance
7.1Confirmation of Unit Marks including any matters affecting Student Assessment or Performance
The Board received the Chair’s Action report (Appendix 1) and confirmed the unit marks as detailed in Appendix 2, which provided a complete record of the Board’s decisions. The Subject External Examiners endorsed the unit marks, which would be incorporated into the Board Report for the Tier 2 Progression and Award Board.

Chair’s action was taken after the board. Prior agreement had been made with student to undertake this element as first attempt over summer as student only joined the unit in January 2012. Mark to go to September board.
