THE ROSARY WALK – Halfway between the RetreatCenter and Marycliff, you will see the statue of the Virgin Mary. The walk consisting of a series of stepping stones representing the beads in the Rosary, begins there. A brochure, “How to Pray the Rosary” is available.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS – Located just below Marycliff and the basketball court, the “Stations” are 14 masonry statues representing Jesus’ passion. Seating is available for individual or group meditation, and a printed guide is available.

SAND VOLLEYBALL COURT – A new feature on the Athletic Field, the volleyball court is popular for recreation and enjoyment. Ask a staff member for a ball and have a spirited game. There is also a large mowed field, ideal for a soccer game, touch football

HOLY FAMILY SHRINE – Just down the hill, east of the RetreatCenter, the Shrine is a free-standing chapel for individual prayer and meditation. It can also be used for small group worship services.

THE HIDDEN GARDEN – Many varieties of colorful Iris and other flowering plants are featured in the Garden, located off the main road just south of Marycliff.

THE RIVER WALK – Two paths lead to the Meramec River where our guests can walk along the Meramec River on the Al Foster Trail. The trail is open to the public and extends for several miles through the village of Glencoe and on to CastlewoodState Park. It ends just south of the Center property in a beautiful cul-de-sac which is a great spot for a picnic or evening worship.

THE RETREATCENTER – For the less adventuresome, the Center offers ping-pong, as well as Washers, a popular St Louis game which is scored similar to horseshoes. An informational sheet is available.

BASKETBALL COURT AND HORSESHOES – Formerly a tennis court, a paved area next to Marycliff includes a basketball goal, and horseshoe pits adjacent to the paved area. Balls can be obtained from the Center staff.

TRAILS – There are approximately three miles of hiking trails winding throughout the 100+ acres comprising the grounds of the RetreatCenter. A trail map is available.
