The Israelites weren’t under the captivity of the Egyptians anymore. The captivity they experienced was hard work, they were slaves. That’s not what our memory verse is talking about. We must be obedient to what Christ commands us. He is our Leader. There is no better Leader than Jesus, it gets back to trusting Him.
