On the second page of this document there is a copy of the artery floorplan for your information.

Terms and Conditions for exhibiting in the artery Community Gallery

1. THE EXHIBITOR SHALL:

1.1 Hire the Gallery space for a minimum of 4 weeks,unless by prior arrangement, at the rate of $150 a week for non F Project members, or $100 a week for F project members.

A 20% deposit shall be paid at the time of booking with the remainder to be paid at commencement of the exhibition. Four weeks notice of cancellation prior to the commencement of agreed exhibition dates must be given, or the deposit will be forfeited.

1.2 Undertake to deliver and remove the exhibition on dates/times specified as negotiated with the artery Community Gallery management.

1.3 Ensure all promotional material is sent to the artery Community Gallery for feedback and/or approval within five (5) working days before proceeding to publish.

1.4 Ensure that all artwork is ready to hang or be appropriately displayed for exhibition in a public gallery. Artworks are to be clearly marked with artist’s name, title of work, medium and size. Nails, hooks or velcro must not be attached to gallery walls.

1.5 Take responsibility for insuring their artworks. All care will be taken of works, but the artery Community Gallery will not be liable for loss or damage to artwork.

1.6 Provide copyright licensing for images and text for promotional purposes only.

1.7 If applicable, provide opening function information and a 300dpi image of their work to be used for invitations sent electronically through the artery Community Gallery’s mailing list and artist’s mailing list. Posted printed invitations are at the expense of the exhibiting artist/exhibitor. All costs associated with an opening function will be the responsibility of the artist/exhibitor, including food, drinks, waiting staff.

1.8 Hold exhibition openings within the advertised opening times of the artery Community Gallery, unless special arrangements have been made with the gallery management.

1.9 Provide advice with installation prior to exhibition, if requested.

1.10 Abide by The Gallery’s right of veto as per 2.6

1.11 Must accept that during the period of exhibition, owing to the multi-purpose nature of the venue, other community groups may book the floor space for meetings, workshops, performances, if appropriate, and not during trading times, unless otherwise notified and agreed on.

1.12 Ensure artworks utilizing 240-volt power are electrical tested and have a current electrical testing tag in accordance with Australian Standard 3760.

2. the artery COMMUNITY GALLERY SHALL:

2.1 Provide use of the artery Community Gallery for display of artworks during the agreed exhibition period.

2.2 Ensure that a staff member is on duty during Gallery open hours.

2.3 Deduct 20% commission from the price of sold works.

2.4 Include exhibition information in newsletter publications and general promotional material and provide a standard media release.

2.5 Provide an invitation for electronic distribution.

2.6 Reserve the right of veto with regards to the type and presentation of material.
