Job purpose: / Lead on engaging VSO’s global network of professional and ICS youth returned volunteerswith VSO’s work and delivering the Sustainable Development Goals

Lead onthe design and delivery of communications with VSO’s global network of professional and ICS youth former volunteersto ensure they remain engaged with and informed about VSO’s programmes and priorities.
Identify new and innovate methods of engaging with the global VSO supporter network
Deliver communications aligned with the international communications strategy, our strategic change programmes and our overall business objectives.
Collaborate with other business development functions to advise on content and channels that are appropriate for the global VSO supporter network
Identify opportunities for VSO’s networkof professional and ICS returned volunteers to participate in, and support key global events
Brief the Data and Insight team on creating reports for communications going to the VSO supporter network.
Manage a range of digital platforms, including e-marketing, social media and other digital channels.
Create new content and tell the stories of former volunteers and staff.
Support the delivery of wider stakeholder communications to meet VSO corporate objectives. / Relevant and targeted communications projects are designed and implemented to engage and align VSO’s global volunteer network behind VSO’s strategy, corporate objectives and brand.
All communications materials are clear and consistent, on budget and timely.
VSO’s global volunteer network feel informed about key corporate initiatives in timely, relevant way and have channels to communicate feedback and to engage with VSO’s work
Measurement of channels demonstrates ongoing and improving engagement.
Communications are innovative, fresh and targeted.

  • Excellent written communication demonstrating good presentation skills, attention to detail and preparation
