It is an expectation that all courses have a midterm assessment (exam, written work, project, etc.) to measure student progress toward successful completion of the course. The assessment should be calculated into the 2nd quarter average (midterms have traditionally counted as 10-25%).

Policy has changed. If a student has passed a Regents exam, but not passed the course (YET HAS COMPLETED SEAT TIME), they can now be awarded the NYS course credit.
This may impact classes for Semester 2 (get students out of a class they have passed Regents)
