EWGA TO AWARD ITS LEADERSHIP HONOR TO
ROSIE JONES DURING EMPOWER ‘13
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., March 25, 2013 / -- – LPGA Tour legend, Rosie Jones, will be given the EWGA’s Leadership Award during its annual conference in May – Empower ’13. This honour is awarded annually by the association of 14,000 current and aspiring business and professional women and is designed to recognize individuals who’ve made outstanding contributions to women's golf. “It’s befitting that thirteen-time LPGA winner and former Solheim Cup Team Captain, Rosie Jones, will receive this award,” said Pam Swensen, CEO for the EWGA. “Rosie has been a role model and certainly opened doors for many women interested in the sport,” she added. Previous award recipients have been Judy Rankin, Annika Sorenstam, Lorena Ochoa, and other notables within the golf industry.
Empower ’13, being held at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa in South Carolina May 8-11th is where women with a passion for golf and building lifelong friendships and networking opportunities will converge from all over the United States and internationally to hear top keynote speakers on a diverse range of topics covering two learning tracks -- one geared towards enriching their professional skills, and the other towards elevating their knowledge of the business side of golf.
