Competencies and skills:Leadership Development
-Evidence of formal leader education programs which include lessons on facilitation, public policy decision making, and meeting procedures.
-Develops a leadership plan that results in leader led clubs, groups and/or organizations, continually expanding volunteer leadership base and development of new leaders in a variety of roles.
- Recognition is given to volunteers, members and leaders.
-Leadership base is reflective of the diversity of the county.
-Is actively involved in leadership roles in community organizations as a representative of the UK Cooperative Extension Service.
-Presents a professional image in the community, serves as a role model for others, and is a recognized leader by clientele and co-workers.

Competencies and skills: Extension Councils and Advisory Groups
-Advisory groups and agent work intra-dependently.
-Membership of councils will reflect diversity and parityof county, and council membership is set up on a rotational basis.
-Documented efforts are made to involve new groups, individuals or organizations into program planning.
-Actively works with councils and district board to seek funding from all available sourcesto expand programming thrusts.
-Extension councils and other related groups utilize appropriate community assessment tools to identify programmingneeds.
-Councils meet on a regular basis with a majority of members in attendance and function with a committee structure.
-Facilitates council members in operation of various duties, rules, regulations and procedures as related to program area mandates.
Councils are actively involved in priority setting, planning, conducting and evaluating of programs.

Competencies and Skills: Educational Programming
-Educational efforts are resulting in Outcomes and Evidences of Outcomes as identified in the Plan of Work.
- Uses recommended research based educational materials, and adaptsteaching methods and technology to needs of the audience.
-Reports reflect formal and/or informal methods of evaluation methods at the SEEC, Practice andKOSA levels, recognizing that projected outcomes are at various levels of completion.
-Agent works with specialists to publish articles or publications, conduct pilot programs, or test curriculum materials.
-New programming is based on evaluations of prior programming to facilitate sequential learning.
-Develops creative, innovative and effective ways to deliver programming to clientele.

Competencies and Skills: Accountability and Public Relations
-Prepares and submits reports in a timely manner for internal and external accountability.
-Effectively uses Report to the People and other materials to enhance publicity and accountability with various audiences.
-Supports activities and events of the College by serving on committees, recruiting students, hosting field days, and facilitating college functions on county, state, regional or national level.
-Informs clientele and leaders of the upcoming events and activities through county web page, news articles, newsletters and mass media.
-Programs contain evaluation and accountability components.
-Actively expanding use of available mass media outlets for marketing of Cooperative Extension programs.

Competencies and skills: Facilitation/ Collaboration/ Teamwork
-Remains unbiased when working with community issues, providing information to all parties.
-Collaborates with community groups leading to a comprehensive program that has positive impact on the community.
-Recognized within county as a resource for advancement of the total community and is sought out for cooperation and collaboration by others.
-Initiates team efforts around appropriate issues, and works to plan, implement and evaluateprograms with County, District or State teams.
-Effectively serves as program assistant supervisor, intern supervisor, training agent or mentor as applicable.
-Contributes to a well-balanced total county Extension program, including Family and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture, 4-H/Youth Development and Community and Economic Development.
-Utilized as expert in best practices in program area.
-Uses good judgment in carrying out assigned role as county coordinator; consults with other agents and staff and involves them in key decisions.

Competencies and Skills: Service
-Responds to request for assistance within a reasonable amount of time.
-Assists clientele with day to day issues and concerns providing research based information to help with decision making.
-Has a system to cover clientele questions.
-Emerging client requests result in the development of new educational programs.
- Actively involved in contributing to the betterment of the total community through community service projects.
