HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

The annual FGC meeting and the accommodation of the participants will be organized in Hotel “Hollywood” Sarajevo

The selected hotel is close to the airport, well equipped for conferences, comfortable, with good tram connections to the downtown (40 min by tram).

The cost of a single room for two nights with breakfast, including taxes, is 166 BAM (Bosnian convertible marks - KM) or 85.00 Euros and can be paid by credit card or in cash in Euros, with a fixed exchange rate, at the hotel reception. Exchange rate Euro – BAM is 1:1.95583

When making a reservation, please make sure to state "Family Group Conference European meeting, 05-07, October 2016". We have got discounted prices from the hotel for the conference booking. Your booking with discounted prices should be made before September 01, 2016.

Additional meal for the first day (dinner) in the hotel should be paid additionally, by the participants and it costs 20 BAM (10 Euros).

For guests staying at the Hollywood Hotel, it is possible to provide a free of charge taxi service from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. In order to arrange such a service, it will be necessary to add this information when making your booking, and please add your flight details – arrival date, flight number, arrival time.

MEETING FEE

The Annual meeting fee is 90 Euros. It includes joint refreshments and food during the annual meeting, joint network dinner during the second day with one drink included, sightseeing bus, the guide, tickets for some visiting sites, as well as additional costs & contingencies.

Closing lunch on Friday is not included, but it could be provided for 10 euro in the Hotel, or for less outside the Hotel (there are many small restaurants outside the hotel).

PROMOTING FGC IN B&H

Using the occasion of this FGC network meeting in BiH we like to promote FGC in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prior to the start of our meeting on Wednesday, October 05, 2016, we will organise a presentation of the FGC model to the B&H stakeholders. This will be held at the same hotel from 12 pm till 2 pm, with a lunch included. Detailed conference agenda will be presented soon. You are more than welcome to join us for this part; the simultaneous translation service will be provided.

Our official Annual meeting session starts in the afternoon, at 4 pm. The registration of the participants and payment of fees will be organized from 3 pm till 4 pm.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

The easiest way to arrive in Sarajevo is to fly directly to Sarajevo International Airport. Airline tickets to Sarajevo tend to be a bit more expensive than the other major cities in the region due to its low traffic rate.

The best connections from Europe to Sarajevo are via Belgrade (Air Serbia), via Zagreb (Croatia Airlines) or Ljubljana (Adria Airlines).

Alternative Options and Routs:

Delegates from Sweden, Norway and Germany may also consider to use a cheaper flight option by Wizzair ( to Tuzla Airport (B&H) and transfer to Sarajevo, by bus or car rental. Please check the bus schedules and connections, ticket prices, and car rental

Cheap air tickets can be found with low-cost airlines flying to both, Dubrovnik and Split, popular destinations for most major airlines, including the cheap-flight giants Rayanair, Easyjet and Eurowings. Sarajevo can be reached in around six hours by car from Dubrovnik and Split. There are regular buses from both places and various offers for car rentals. Just before renting, make sure with the car-rental agency that the insurance covers Bosnia and Herzegovina. Note that there is a border crossing between Croatia and Bosnia, delays can be expected sometimes.

There are bus connections from Croatia, Serbia, Germany, Austria (Vienna), Slovenia (Ljubljana). Bus schedules, ticket prices, online reservations can be found on the websites of the national bus offices from the mention cities.
